After completing graduate school, Dr. Chavis moved back to Alaska, this time – to Juneau. Having never been to Juneau before, he was amazed by the beauty of this place. Him and his wife fell in love with the town, the mountains, Gastineau channel and the wonderful people of Juneau, and consider themselves lucky to be able to do what they love nowhere else, but here in Alaska.
Dr. Chavis is committed to providing care to patients of all ages. He is truly passionate about helping people achieve wellness in their lives. He strongly believes that wellness is an active process of becoming aware of and making choices toward a healthy and fulfilling life. In his practice, he has noticed that patients that respond to Chiropractic care the best are the patients who are committed to taking control of their health.
Dr. Chavis takes time to learn about patients’ lifestyles, habits and history to provide them with a customized treatment plan that would help them manage the pain, and later on, maintain a pain-free life. He has achieved great results using spinal adjustments, extremity adjustments, Myofascial release techniques, spinal decompression, adhesion breaking, self-care exercises and more; in helping patients with headaches, neck pain, back pain, stiffness, numbness, work-related injuries, car accidents and more.
When he’s not busy treating patients, Dr. Chavis can be found working out at the gym, splitting wood and spending time with his family.
