Brittany was born in New York, and raised from a young age in the mountains of Colorado. She found her way to Juneau in 2015 where she earned a one year Certificate in the Outdoor Studies Program and her Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies and Geography at the University of Alaska Southeast. After years working in tourism and environmental education, Brittany decided that it was time for her to dive into the world of massage therapy and holistic health.
She attended massage therapy school at the Alaska Institute of Oriental Medicine, Acupuncture and Massage Therapy in Anchorage, AK. In addition to studying massage therapy, she also studied and received a certificate in Thai Massage; using yoga like stretches while incorporating deep muscle compression, joint mobilization, and acupressure to accomplish goals for bodywork. She also received a certification in Traditional Chinese Medicine Sports Massage - Tuina.
Brittany incorporates Tuina, Thai massage, Swedish, Sports massage, deep tissue, myofascial release techniques, trigger point release techniques, as well, incorporates breath awareness to help patients achieve their health goals.
In her free time, Brittany takes advantage of the outdoor beauty and adventure offered in Southeast. You may find her adventuring on the ocean, in the mountains, crafting art, or crafting in the kitchen! Brittany takes full advantage of opportunities to learn more about herself, life and participate actively with friends and family in creating memories in this beautiful place we all call home!
