We do activities and exercises that seem to have no harm but can when improper techniques are practiced. Since individuals do not think of their consequences, we are unaware of these techniques. Our back and spinal cord are most influenced by our choices. When these two components of our bodies become injured, many other problems can occur. People often develop back problems by slouching, not stretching, and not properly performing lifting techniques correctly. Although we often are unaware of the effects our actions cause, we can easily prevent chronic back pain by exercising regularly, wearing appropriate footwear, and managing a stress free lifestyle. There are many reasons why a person may develop back problems. Years of slouching and not having correct posture can weaken a person’s back. When we do not practice proper posture at an early age, it seems impossible to break the habit of slouching. Our spines are designed to have a slight S curve. When individuals slouch, added stress is put on our back muscles and nerves as they both become weak. Another reason individuals develop back pain could be from not stretching. Although all of these factors increase back pain for individuals, it is important to remember back pain is a process of overusing actions. If people continue to perform the same task without the appropriate techniques, injuries take place. When we practice and exercise the correct way, all of these negative factors cause less harm.

When taking the time to exercise regularly, fewer injuries are likely to occur since exercising strengthens our bodies. When we strengthen our back muscle, we develop a higher pain tolerance. Individuals can also decrease the risk of back pain by wearing the proper footwear. Flip flops, sandals, and many other unsupportive shoes do nothing but harm our bodies. If we continue to wear these shoes, stress and pressure continues to add to our backs. When we wear the proper footwear, we reduce the injury rate for our backs. Another way to prevent back injuries is to maintain a stress-free life. When individuals have a stressed life, it does not only affect us mentally, but also physically. A daily stressed life adds fatigue to our body. That is why it is important for individuals to discovery ways to relieve stress when exposed to it. There are numerous ways to prevent back pain from occurring. When taking the time to practice these ways, we are allowed a better lifestyle.
Although there are many ways to prevent back pain, many individuals are constantly introduced to areas that can cause back pain. Whether it be a job, a sport, or an activity they enjoy. Most people will not stop their interests because of risks. When accidents do happen, chiropractors step in. Through their experience and knowledge, they work to heal their patients’ pain. Chiropractors use stretches that patients may have difficulty with. They continue to work on the same stretches until progress is shown. Chiropractors play a huge role in helping patient recover back to their health. Without their advice and knowledge, patients would be unfamiliar of the procedures designed to maintain a healthy back.
